Projection Mapping at Kyoto international convention center
My Work on this project
A project by Visual Unit ’66b cell’. I collaborated with Director Tetsutoshi Tabata and two other CG artists. This video is part of a projection mapping show in rehearsal. My main contributions to this project included the following sequences:
3D triangle box featuring ancient Japanese women and a float
Animated cubes
Ancient Japanese warriors
Dragon and Singh (a mythical creature)”
-Visual projections, using traditional Japanese textures, symbols and motifs, are mapped to the interior architecture of the Kyoto International Conference Center, a building designed by noted Japanese architect, Sachio Otani. The three-dimensional shapes and hexagonal framework of this modern building are inspired by traditional Japanese forms. –
